I am not a huge fan of putting up the Christmas decs too early but as you know I like to make an entrance! So working with Dobbies Garden Centres was an excellent excuse to make the front door lovely and festive.
Obviously there is so much to choose from in Dobbies, especially at Christmas so I made the decision to buy a real tree to welcome our guests. I picked this potted one, mainly because I liked the tin bucket! One of Dobbies themes this year is ‘Enchanted Garden’ and I love nothing more than using plants and foliage in my styling.
The tree is the perfect size but they had a huge range, picking the decorations was harder! I opted for these gorgeous fabric, I think slightly retro ones, I love the corduroy stars and velvet stars in mustard and forest green. To lighten it up and bring the garden theme in I added some real roses and I fell in love with the glass birds with their real feather tails.
The warm berry lights add the perfect glow and they have lots of settings so they will twinkle too. The finishing touch for the tree was the pussywillow, I have never added this to my trees before but I love how it looks. My front door couldn’t be left without decoration, I decided to make my own wreath so I bought some fake eucalyptus from Dobbies and created the circle. Onto this I added Honesty, Pampas Grass and more Pussywillow. I am really pleased with the results.
Dobbies have so much for Christmas in lots of different styles so you will definitely find something you love. See you soon for my Christmas table styling.
