Spring Wedding Styling
Woah! Just realised that I didn’t post in March!! March was pretty full on and whilst my head is now full of inspiration I just didn’t have time to get it down so I will start today with some wedding inspo.
When I am asked to style a wedding one of the first things I do is to think about the season of the wedding and how we will be able to incorporate this into the scheme. I love Spring (summer more!) but the feeling of new beginnings, bulbs flowering and all of the pretty colours that come with it are amazing.
I am styling a wedding this time next year in a gorgeous teepee and so I wanted to work out for my clients some ideas for table settings. As you know I love to use my vintage fabrics wherever I can and they make fantastic runners. I love the way the colours in the fabric can be picked up in the flowers and foliage too.
Today I foraged some Muscari and Forget Me Nots from the garden to make cute little posies that serve as name places, a lovely gift also for your guests. I also used some Thyme, I love using herbs in my table styling, not only does it smell beautiful but it makes a change from flowers and lets the posies show off!!
Finally I chose to use pressed glass plates, I really don’t think these are used enough and they create lovely patterns in the light and add a touch of romance. The fabric is really a starting point and everything else just falls into place.
Hope you like it. Drop me a email if you would like some help with your wedding styling. I will be back soon with more updates on my March antics!!!
