April is a special month for me and many of us, especially as we all start to feel the warmth of the sun and the beautiful flowers appearing. But blossom….

Seeing the bright pink Pom Pom flowers everywhere really lifts the spirits. Instagram is awash with glorious images and when it’s framed with a bright blue sky it’s just the perfect combo. This particular tree is very special to me as my mum and dad planted it on my first birthday and it blooms every year for my birthday. I wrote a blog 2 years ago now showing some of the pictures that my mum has taken of me over the years. There are some corkers!!

So I popped into mum’s today to cut a few bits as I really wanted to make a spring wreath for my front door. I added some clematis from my own garden which is just starting to bud and some ivy. I love the finished result but alas blossom is fragile and I’m sure it will be nothing more than confetti in a few days.
