So! Back in October of last year I had the pleasure of welcoming Kate Hill and Lizzie Orme into The Vintage House That Could for a photoshoot. Kate is a fabulous feature’s writer and stylist for lots of lovely magazines  https://uk.pinterest.com/katehillstylist   and Lizzie’s photography is amazing. http://www.lizzieorme.co.uk Prior to the shoot I was worried that I had cleaned up enough! Hidden things away and made it look all spick and span as I didn’t know what to expect. I didn’t need to worry as both ladies were absolutely lovely and made me feel right at home in my own home! It was a very long day of photographs in every room but so interesting to watch how they worked, how things needed to be tweaked and angled to get just the right shot. I am really pleased with how the photographs turned out, even the ones with me in them!! I am not the best model I have to say.

The day the magazine went on sale I was really nervous, I had already had a few friends message me who subscribe to the mag to say congratulations but I was yet to see it for myself. Whilst sunning myself in Marbella! Martin sent me a message to say it had arrived and he sent me photographs of the pages, I was very happy with the results and its nice to feel just a little bit famous just for a short while! Not only that though, its nice to be recognised for the hard work that we have put into the house over the years to make it unique to us. I knew that all of those early morning car boot trawls would pay off!

Style at Home has fast become one of the favourite magazines for home lovers with its pages full of house features, lovely new items to adorn your home and great makes to keep you busy. It is an honour to share my home with you amongst all of the other beautiful  homes this month too. Make sure you grab yourself a copy asap!!!
