Whilst putting a wedding mood board together today and being swayed by all the pastel hues I suddenly had a horrible feeling – what if I never see my beloved France again!!!!!!

We have been blessed with amazing holidays over the last 10 years and have been lucky enough to go some fantastic places but my heart will always lie in France. I literally hyperventilate the moment I see a shutter and as for railings and pretty coloured houses!!! Be still my beating heart. We have visited a few different regions now but my fave has to be Ile De Re. The harbour at St Martin, the restaurants over looking the sea and the slow pace of life is perfect and if you haven’t been then you should. So why am I telling you this? Well today I was putting a mood board together for a couple who want a French style wedding and I don’t mean all garlic strings and stripes!! and I realised that my travels have enabled me to draw from all of these wonderful surroundings and buildings. My own photographs are a constant source of inspiration and I should use them more, I mean I trawl Pinterest for hours and here they are right here.

At the start of my post I indicated that I might never see France again, a tad dramatic yes! But you see we have resigned ourselves to the fact that starting a new business and leaving a well paid career means the end of holidays for the foreseeable future and I am struggling to come to terms with that. However the weather man tells me that next week will be a balmy 17 degrees so I suppose I shouldn’t moan! I must also keep telling myself that with every wedding booking comes the possibility of a break in the sun………. ‘she believed she could, so she did’  Enjoy your Caribbean heatwave next week xx
