Vintage Flat-lay Styling Kits
Hello! It seems like ages since we last spoke and I sat in front of my computer, this needs to stop! I promise to be more attentive as of now….
So, vintage flat-lay styling kits what are they all about? Well the vision came to me one afternoon whist was doing my usual faffing and moving of objects! Some of the things that I was laying out on the table really blended and I thought wouldn’t this make a lovely box of goodies for those in my position who love to play and photograph pretty things. I decided to source all of the items separately from various places as some of them are vintage, like the old tickets and postcards and some are vintage style like the tags.
I absolutely love paper products and stationary and I am always on the look out for things to adorn my walls or use as props so I knew that this would be something that others would love too. As I have said before I would never promote or sell anything that I didn’t genuinely love and if I received one of these in the post I would be well chuffed! The most exciting thing about them for me is that each one is different and so you could build up quite a collection of pretty things.
I was lucky enough to attend a workshop last weekend run by Sara Tasker Me And Orla. Sara went through the basic do’s and don’t’s of Instagram and photography before we were let loose with some scrumptious props and did some styling ourselves. I took with me one of my Mini Vintage Styling Kits so I was able to incorporate it with some of the other props. I just wanted the mini kit to be something that you could add to any flatlay to make more interesting or build up a collection of bits and bobs.
In my opinion you can never have enough bits and bobs! Right I’m off to declutter something by moving something from one place to another!
Enjoy xx
